Adding a Digital Cytology Test

If your clinic’s practice information management software (PIMS) is connected to Vetscan Imagyst via the FUSE system (bidirectional communication), any new cytology test orders created in the PIMS will automatically appear within Vetscan Imagyst. You can manually create a cytology test if your clinic is not connected to Vetscan Imagyst with FUSE.

To manually create a test:

  1. Click Main Menu ().
  2. Click the Worklist link.
  3. Click Add test ().
  4. When the Add test dialog opens:
    1. Select Cytology from the test type dropdown menu.
    2. Enter the patient ID.
    3. Enter the name of the animal (optional).
    4. Select a species from the dropdown menu or add a new species by typing it in.

      Note: If a new species is added, you will be prompted to enter a breed name optionally.
  5. Click Create.

Once the test is created, you will be taken to the Digital Cytology order entry page, where you can enter the patient history and test details, add scans, and submit the order.
