Scan area masks for Grundium scanners
Updated
by Shannon Mitchell
At times during order entry, the scanner's suggested scan area mask is unacceptable to the user. In this case, the user may create a manual one.
The scan area mask features for Grundium scanners allow users to create and edit rectangular, circular, and polygonal scan areas, including anchor points.
Note: Anchor points can be added on the connecting line between two points, allowing for easy shape alterations.
Note: The same flexibility is applied to tablet interactions for enhanced usability.
Element | Description |
Rectangle ![]() | Use to draw a rectangle around an area of the slide. |
Ellipse ![]() | Use to draw an ellipse shape around an area of the slide. |
Polygon ![]() | Use to create a custom shape by clicking and placing multiple mask points. The mask points define the shape of the mask. You cannot put a mask point outside the slide's scannable area (dotted lines). |
Free draw ![]() | Click and hold the mouse button to draw a custom shape. You cannot create a mask larger than the scannable area of the slide (dotted lines). |
Undo ![]() | Click to undo the last scan area mask. |
Remove selected area ![]() | Click to remove the selected scan area mask. |
Reset scan areas ![]() | Click to reset the mask to the default scan area mask. |
