Opening the slide tray
To open the slide tray:
- Click the Scan button for the selected test sample from within the Worklist.
- When the Scan dialog window opens, click the Open tray button.
Note: The slide tray automatically closes when you click Scan slide from within the Scan dialog window.
Opening the slide lock and placing a slide
To open the slide lock on the microscope’s slide tray:
- With the slide tray in the open position, slide your finger underneath the front edge of the slide tray.
- When you feel the slide tray locking lever, slide it to the left. You will see the slide-locking mechanism open.
- Place the prepared slide on the slide tray with any label or barcode sticker towards the right-hand side of the slide tray (when facing it).
Closing the slide lock
To close the slide lock on the microscope’s slide tray:
- With the slide tray in the open position, slide your finger underneath the front edge of the slide tray.
- When you feel the slide tray locking lever, slide it to the right. You will see the slide-locking mechanism close.
Important: Make sure the slide is lying flat on the stage glass. If the slide has popped up on any edge of the slide-locking mechanism, or there is debris on the stage, this could cause a poor Scan and possibly dirty the objective.
