Opening the slide tray

To open the slide tray:

  1. Click the Scan button for the selected test sample from within the Worklist.
  2. When the Scan dialog window opens, click the Open tray button.

Note: The slide tray automatically closes when you click Scan slide from within the Scan dialog window.

Opening the slide lock and placing a slide

To open the slide lock on the microscope’s slide tray:

  1. With the slide tray in the open position, slide your finger underneath the front edge of the slide tray.
  2. When you feel the slide tray locking lever, slide it to the left. You will see the slide-locking mechanism open.
  3. Place the prepared slide on the slide tray with any label or barcode sticker towards the right-hand side of the slide tray (when facing it).

Closing the slide lock

To close the slide lock on the microscope’s slide tray:

  1. With the slide tray in the open position, slide your finger underneath the front edge of the slide tray.
  2. When you feel the slide tray locking lever, slide it to the right. You will see the slide-locking mechanism close.

Important: Make sure the slide is lying flat on the stage glass. If the slide has popped up on any edge of the slide-locking mechanism, or there is debris on the stage, this could cause a poor Scan and possibly dirty the objective.
