Vetscan Imagyst workflow

Shannon Mitchell Updated by Shannon Mitchell

The Vetscan Imagyst general workflow includes preparing a slide for scanning, adding (or opening) a test in the Worklist, scanning a slide, submitting a test for analysis and reviewing a test before finalising it.

Prepare ⇨ Add  ⇨ Scan ⇨ Analyse ⇨ Review

1.) Prepare

Prepare the slide for a test as described in the Vetscan Imagyst guidelines. For more information, view Slide preparation.

2.) Add

Sign in to Vetscan Imagyst and open the test you want to review. Enter any necessary test or patient information.

If your clinic’s PIMS is connected to Vetscan Imagyst via a FUSE, any new test orders created within the PIMS automatically appear in Vetscan Imagyst.

You can also manually create a test for the test type you need.  For more information, view Adding a test.

3.) Scan

Place the slide on the scanner and follow the procedure for scanning a slide from within Vetscan Imagyst. For information, view Scanning a test.

4.) Submit

Once the test information is entered and the slide is scanned, submit the test to be analysed.

5.) Analyse

Vetscan Imagyst will automatically analyse the slide and return the results.

6.) Review

After the scan is analysed, Vetscan Imagyst creates a report for you to review.

For more information, view Reviewing a test.

Finalise the test to complete your review.

Note: Once finalised, the test will move to test history.

Note: An incomplete or unsubmitted test will display an incomplete test status in the worklist. Select Open to complete all required fields.
