Fluid site card

A fluid site card describes a fluid sample for a test. All fields within the site card are required except for the additional source fields. 

The following sections are editable in the fluid site card:

Field

Description

Site name

The name of the site where the fluid sample was taken.

Slide preparation

A dropdown menu of the different slide preparations (e.g., direct, sediment, cytospin, buffy coat, line preparation, etc.).

Colour

A dropdown menu of the different colours of the fluid sample.

Clarity

A dropdown menu of the different levels of clarity of the fluid sample.

Flocculent material

A menu of whether or not the sample contains flocculent material (select yes or no). 

Source

A menu of sample sources. If you choose Other as an option, be as descriptive as possible. Depending on the source type, other fields may appear once the source is selected. These fields include:

  • Total protein 
  • Nucleated cell count (K/uL)
  • RBC count (M/uL)
  • PCV
  • Viscosity

Important: Click Save to save your changes or delete () to delete the site card.
