Users: Edit the User Profile

To view a user profile:

  1. As an admin, click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Admin > Users link.
  3. Click on the Edit icon () to the right of the user whose profile you want to change.

Editing a User’s Profile

Editing a user’s personal information, role, notification and password is discussed in My Profile: Edit the User Profile.

There are two additional features that appear on the user profile page when an admin is logged into VETSCAN IMAGYST: Disable an Account and Delete a User. Both are explained below.

Disable an Account

To disable a user’s account:

  1. As an admin, click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Admin > Users link.
  3. When the Users page loads, click on Edit User Icon () for the selected user.
  4. Scroll down to the Actions section.
  5. Click on the DISABLE ACCOUNT button.
  6. When you click on the button, you will notice that the text will change to ENABLE ACCOUNT. This indicates that the account has been disabled.

IMPORTANT: While an account is disabled, a user cannot log in to their account on VETSCAN IMAGYST.

Enable an Account

To enable a user’s account:

  1. As an admin, click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Admin > Users link.
  3. When the Users page loads, click on Edit User Icon () for the selected user.
  4. Scroll down to the Actions section.
  5. Click on the ENABLE ACCOUNT button.
  6. When you click on the button, you will notice that the text will change to DISABLE ACCOUNT. This indicates that the account has been enabled.

Delete a User

To delete a user and the user’s profile:

  1. As an admin, click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Admin > Users link.
  3. When the Users page loads, click on Edit User Icon () for the selected user.
  4. Scroll down to the Actions section.
  5. Click on the DELETE USER button.
  6. A prompt will appear stating “Are you sure you want to delete this user? This action cannot be undone.” Click on the YES link, if you are sure you want to permanently delete the user and the user’s profile. Otherwise, click on the NO link to cancel the process.

IMPORTANT: Deleting a user, deletes the user and the user’s profile. Once completed, it CANNOT BE UNDONE. If you are unsure whether you want to delete a user, consider disabling the user’s account instead.
