Inbox: Guide Drawer

The Guide Drawer provides access to several Quickstart guides, video tutorials, and other documents to help you find answers to questions. To access the Guide Drawer:

  1. Click Main Menu ().
  2. Click Guide Drawer, Help, and then the Guide Drawer link.

Or

  1. Click the Main Menu ().
  2. Click the Inbox link.
  3. Click Scan for any scan listing.
    Note: By default, the Auto-Open Guide Drawer menu option is enabled. If it is not enabled, the Guide Drawer will not open when the Scan button is clicked.

Or

  1. Click the Main Menu ().
  2. Click the Inbox link.
  3. Click Scan for any sample listing.
  4. Click Guide Drawer () from within the Scan window to open or close the Guide Drawer.

Or

  1. Press the Alt + G (Windows) or Option+ G (Mac) keys to open or close the Guide Drawer.

Description

Available Guides Menu

A list of available tests for which the Guides Drawer contains the guides, videos, and other documents.

Guides ()

Click to view the guides for the selected test.

Videos ()

Click to view the video tutorials for the selected test.

Documents ()

Click to view the documents for the selected test.

Library or Topic Title Bar

Indicates which library (Guides, Videos, or Documents) or topic of a Quickstart guide you are currently viewing.

Guide Drawer Menu ()

Click to open the menu. The menu currently includes the Auto-Open Guide Drawer checkbox.

Auto-Open Guide Drawer

Check the checkbox if you want the Guide Drawer to automatically open whenever you click on the Scan button.

Close (X)

Click to close the Guide Drawer. You can also use the Guide Drawer toggle button, press Alt + G (Windows) or Option + G (Mac), or click Main Menu > Help > Guide Drawer. 

Previous and Next Arrows

Click to page through any available Quickstart guide cards, video tutorials, or documents.

Pagination navigation <>

If the pagination navigation is available, it indicates how many “pages” of Guides, Videos, or Documents there are for a given test. The highlighted dot (orange dot) indicates your current position within the pages. You can use the Previous and Next arrows or Back and Forth keys (arrow back and arrow forth on a physical keyboard) to cycle through the pages. You can also click directly on one of the pagination dots.

Alt + G (Windows) or Option + G (Mac)

Pressing these hotkey combinations opens and closes the Guide Drawer.
