Grundium Scanner Software Update

On occasion, the Grundium scanner may require a software update. Once you receive a notification that an update is required, you will need to update the software.

Notification of “Update Required”

When a software update is available, you will see an “Update Required” notification in two places:

  • Under Main Menu > Scanners. The status of a scanner that needs to be updated will be “[X] UPDATE REQUIRED].
  • From the Inbox, click on the blue [SCAN] button to open the Scan dialogue window. The status for the selected scanner will be “[X] UPDATE REQUIRED”.

Updating the Scanner Software

To update the Grundium scanner’s software:

  1. Click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Scanners link.
  3. From the scanner’s page, click on the [X] UPDATE REQUIRED link for a scanner that is displaying the update status.

Or

  1. Click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Inbox link.
  3. Click on the blue SCAN button for a test.
  4. Select a scanner. If the scanner requires an update, the [X] UPDATE REQUIRED notification appears as the status.
  5. Click on the [X] UPDATE REQUIRED link

Once you have clicked on the link, the scanner will begin to update the software. During this time, the scanner status light will blink purple. When the update has been installed, the scanner will reboot itself.

Once the status for the scanner is “Available”, the software update process has been completed. The entire process should take approximately 2-3 minutes.
