Grundium: VETSCAN IMAGYST Scanner Statuses

From within the VETSCAN IMAGYST application, you can determine the status of any Grundium scanner that is connected to the platform and for which you have permission to access.

How to determine a scanner’s status

To determine a Grundium scanner’s status:

  1. Click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Scanners link
  3. From the Scanners page, view the status for the desired scanner.

Or

  1. Click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Inbox link.
  3. Click on the blue SCAN button for a test.
  4. When the Scan dialogue window opens, select a scanner.
  5. The scanner’s status is displayed to the right of the selected scanner.

Scanner Status

A Grundium scanner can display up to 10 different statuses.

Status Description
Offline The scanner is not powered on, it is not connected to the Internet, and/or it is not connected to the VETSCAN IMAGYST platform.
Available The scanner is powered on and connected to the VETSCAN IMAGYST platform.
Opening The scanner’s tray table is moving into the open position.
Closing The scanner’s tray table is moving into the closed position.
Scanning The scanner is currently scanning a slide.
Busy The scanner is currently performing one of many processes that are required for continued use. A “busy” status should resolve itself in a few minutes.
Rebooting The scanner is currently rebooting itself.
Update Required The scanner’s software needs to be updated.
Updating Scanner The scanner is currently updating its internal software.
Disabled The scanner has been disabled by a user.
