Slide View allows you to view the entire digital slide. You can zoom in and out of the slide, pan around the slide, and create, delete, and classify captured images.

To access the Slide View tool:

  1. Click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Inbox link.
  3. Click on the name for the sample test you want to see in the Images View.
  4. From Images View, click on the View Slide icon ().

Or

  1. Click on the Main Menu ().
  2. Click on the Inbox link.
  3. Click on the Scanned Slides icon () to open it.
  4. Click on the preview of the scan you want to view in the Slide View.

Slide View Page

Element Description
Patient Information The patient information section, located at the top of the left hand panel, includes the patient’s Patient ID, Name, Test Type, Test ID, Timestamp, Species, Test Status, Breed, Age, Sex/Reproductive Status, and Clinical History. Click on the expand/collapse arrow to open or close the section.
Site Information The site information section, located beneath the patient information section, includes any information included on a site. Click on the expand/collapse arrow to open or close the section.
Sample Name The patient id and name of the current sample.
Test Type The test type associated with the selected sample.
Test ID The test order’s unique ID within VETSCAN IMAGYST.
Test Date The test date associated with the selected sample.
Species The patient’s species.
Test Status The test order’s current status and to whom the test is assigned. You can assign/unassign the test to yourself. Otherwise the assignment is locked.
Classifications Listings All of the available classifications for the current sample.

Located to the left of the Sites link, click to expand or collapse the left-hand panel.
SITES Click to open the Scanned Slides window. Clicking on the individual preview images opens the scan for that image in the Slide View.
Report Builder For pathologists, click to open the Report Builder window.
Report Viewer report Click to view the Report page for a test order.
Share share Click to share the current sample with a colleague or associate.
Details details Click to navigate to the Details page for the current scan.
Images View images_view Click to open the current sample in the Images View page.
Inbox inbox Click to share the current sample with a colleague or associate.
Digital Slide The entire digital slide of the selected sample is available for viewing.
Zoom In and Out + / - Click on the zoom in ( + ) to zoom in on the slide; click on the zoom out ( - ) to zoom out on the slide.
Reset Zoom reset_zoom Click on the Reset Zoom to zoom out all the way.
Viewing History history Click to enable. While enabled, your viewing history is visible.
Full Screen full_screen Click to allow the VETSCAN IMAGYST platform to fill the entire viewable screen. Click on the [ESC] key to return VETSCAN IMAGYST to a browser window.
Multi-Scan Controls

If a sample has multiple scans or a scan is too large, use the multi-scan controls to cycle through all the available slides or views of the larger scan.
Z-Level Controls ^ v If a sample has multiple z level scans, use the z-level controls to cycle through all the available slides.
Image Style Filter filter Click to open an image style filter. The panel allows you to manipulate the brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue of the image. For more information, view Images View: Page Features.
Ruler ruler Press [Alt] + click or drag to draw a ruler line with an exact measurement. This can help measure various objects within the Slide View.
Help help Click to open a quick help guide for creating boxes, editing boxes, and z-level navigation.
Mini Map A permanently zoomed-out map to help you understand where you are on the larger slide.
Current Magnification The current magnification level that you are viewing a slide at.
